Earth Voice is starting a new recycled paper initiative on campus, and we're looking to build a coalition of student groups.
To participate, all a student group needs to do is join the recycling pledge, which simply says:
"We pledge to use recycled paper products whenever possible. We will hold to this pledge as a group and encourage individual members to participate."
All this will entail is using recycled paper to print fliers, minutes, and other items, and to ask group members if they will consider using recycled paper at home.
Paper with 100% post-consumer content is best, and we encourage the use of paper with no less than 50% post-consumer recycled content.
We chose to set this program in motion because we understand that in order to achieve positive change overall, we have to be willing to change some of our own habits.
Even if your student group is small--even if it's just you and your roommates--remember that even two or three students can make a difference.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions.
We hope you will speak to the student groups you belong to, and consider joining our initiative.
